Description

Your Role:

  • Conduct interdisciplinary research with team members and colleagues from other departments, institutes and industrial partners around the world about the following topics:
  • Design and development of novel and robust AI algorithms, implementation and evaluation using multi-modal data (e.g., gaze, behavioral markers)
  • Contribute to data science, implementation and evaluation pipeline on large-scale datasets. o Design paradigms of explainable AI (e.g. in mixed reality), formation and measurement of trust through digital biomarkers using state-of-the-art gaze assessment technologies
  • Actively scout for the emerging technologies and predict market trends by monitoring tech news, events and seminars
  • Implement and teach students of the lab how to conduct user-based studies and artificial intelligence
  • Publish the results of the conducted studies at top tier journals
  • Facilitate the internal exchange between different disciplines (AI, HCI, Optometry and Ophthalmology experts)

 

 

Your Profile:

  • A PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., computer science or cognitive science) allows starting as AI scientist in Vision Research
  • Solid experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
  • Solid experience of statistical analysis of psychophysical data (especially gaze and behavioural data) using Matlab, Python or R
  • Experience in human-computer-interaction is plus
  • Experience working with gaze data and how to conduct eye tracking experiments using stand-alone devices as well as mobile eye tracking devices and how to interpret and analyse gaze data is a plus
  • Experience in working in an international setting
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Very good English language skills
