The Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence (ML-AI) Engineer will perform as part of our process engineering capability. Our process engineering capability works closely with our design engineering resources and automation engineering resources to conceptualize, develop, and test the process technologies that enable our engineering designs to be manufactured in volume by our automation resources.
The ML-AI Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing and realizing advanced vision systems based upon Machine Learning to modeling the performance of prospective and in-market technologies according to valid and sound scientific principles such that the models can be applied to identify regions of the technology design space where we. can manufacture and improve market-competitive products. Statistical analysis and root cause analysis is included in the capability.
The role is also responsible for validating these methods against physical ground truth through the application of scientifically accepted experimental protocols and mathematically and rigorous analyses.
Key Performance Indicators
- Authenticate and validate captured images to known good reference images
- Grade captured images relative to the known good reference images
- Extract unique features from captured images which create a unique fingerprint for each image
- Automate the capture, validation, feature extraction and storage of large numbers of images working with Dynamics’ automation experts
- Create and realize a high throughput image processing methodology to achieve the above KPIs
Professional Requirements
- Machine Learning, Machine Curiosity, Deep Learning and current methods related to this technical discipline
- Experience in a relevant technical environment
Primary Skills
- Skilled knowledge and a thorough understanding of image processing concepts and relevant algorithms
- Substantial experience with OpenCV, SIFT, SORT, Python and/or other AI software
- Ability to program algorithms using C, C++, Python, ML.Net, etc.
- Ability to create a database to efficiently store, access, categorize and manipulate large amounts of static images
- Ability to create basic graphical user interfaces (GUI, HMI or MMI) for operator control
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger multi-disciplined engineering team
- Experimental design and analysis
- Technical and scientific communication
- Implementation of ML systems into production environment
- Knowledge of networking and memory requirements
