Overview
From image capture to situational understanding, SRI’s Center for Vision Technologies (CVT) offers end-to-end vision solutions that translate into real-world applications. Our scientists pioneered real-time, real-world computer vision with the early development of pyramid/wavelet processing that enabled analysis with unprecedented speed and precision. They continue today with a broad array of advances in vision and language, social media analytics, visual navigation, 3D scene modeling, and object and activity recognition. Please see https://sites.google.com/view/ajaydivakaran/home for an overview of the Vision and Learning group.
The Vision and Learning group in CVT is hiring for Interns who are current graduate students in computer vision/science, multimedia analytics for a three to six-month internship. The Intern will be part of a team developing a multimodal knowledge extraction and exploitation system that extracts implicit knowledge from a variety of sources such as manuals, reports etc. that contain both text and images, and rapidly adapts to new domains. We strongly encourage publishable research. We offer a fun environment that is between academia and industry that emphasizes both developing interesting technology and impactful prototypes. The intern will be exposed to the varied research at CVT and will also receive training in presentation and writing. We are in suburban New Jersey an hour away from either New York or Philadelphia by train, so after-hours life offers many opportunities.
