Collaboration on an exciting (SNSF-funded) research project at the intersection of P2P Lending, Machine Learning, and Credit Risk Modelling.

Writing a doctoral dissertation and scientific articles for publication in leading international scientific journals

Participation in the solicitation of third-party funding for research

Aid for teaching in the department of Finance, Accounting, and Tax

Possibility to pursue a doctorate in partnership with a preeminent international university, the University of Twente in Netherlands

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL
    Economics: Master Degree or equivalent
    Computer science: Master Degree or equivalent
    Mathematics: Master Degree or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

Master's degree in economics or a related field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, industrial engineering) or are about to graduate with a master's degree.

Experience with or enthusiasm for quantitative empirical analyses and exceptional statistical application skills (Stata, R, Python)

Knowledge of quantitative modeling of financial markets, econometrics, machine learning/AI, or empirical quantitative research should ideally be very strong.

You are proficient in both written and spoken English.

Persistence, enthusiasm, and enjoyment in scientific work.
