Job Description
The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group (AXG) is chartered with delivering high performance computing (HPC) and graphics solutions (IP, Software, Systems), for both integrated and discrete segments across client, data center and edge computing. The Xe Architecture and IP Engineering Group (XAE) is responsible for delivering the Xe IP (Intel GPU) that is the core technology for the products we are delivering.
The Graphics Computing Architecture team (GCA) is responsible for architecting the General Purpose Compute capability for the Xe IP (GPGPU) that delivers the core compute for AI and HPC workloads. We are looking for candidates that are highly motivated to learn about cutting edge highly parallel compute architectures.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Will be participating in and leading research projects aiming at architecting features across Intel GPU engine as well as software stack using modern co-design and modeling techniques.
- This team is a data-driven architecture team that focuses on implementing agile modeling techniques with real life workloads to make informed architecture decisions.
- Should also be able to code prototypes/models to drive conclusions on different architecture options.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer / Electrical Engineering/ Computer science/ Mathematics or any related fields with 3+ years of experience. OR a Master's Degree in the same fields with 6 months of experience. OR a PhD in the same fields:
Your experience should be in the following:
- Computer architectures (focus on GPGPUs and Neural Processing Units)
- Knowledge of Deep Learning and its mapping on different hardware architectures
- Proficient in Python
- Knowledge of C and C++
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of software engineering, design patterns, algorithm optimizations, software work flows, and agile development methods
- Previous IP design experience is strong plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $156,450.00-$234,770.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
