The State of North Dakota is looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data Division to provide consultation, advanced analytic, and data science solutions for North Dakota state agencies. The successful Data Scientist will be responsible for providing consultation, advanced analytic and data science solutions; and communicate findings through reports and visualizations. The successful Data Scientist will design and conduct statistical or machine learning analysis in a fast-paced, progressive, and challenging environment.
The successful Data Scientist must possess a strong analytic and problem-solving skills and be an inquisitive, lifelong-learner open to observation and feedback. The individual must be highly organized, able to manage their time and priorities effectively in order to meet organization standards. The successful candidate should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships while working independently and within an Agile/Scrum team environment.
To be considered for this role you must have a Bachelor’s degree and two years of progressive experience involving working independently in analytics, statistics, computer science, research, or data science. A graduate degree (i.e, MS, PhD) applying data science, analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, machine learning, or research methodology can be used in lieu of work experience.
