Our end-client is making a huge investment in AI and are looking for expert Data Scientists to lead them into the next generation of banking. They are reimagining how data is used across the bank to better serve their customers, support their communities, and make their colleagues’ lives better. Our client's goal is to be the best performing regional bank in America, and they need data and analytics to meet that goal.
As they advance their data science and analytics capabilities, they need experts in AWS cloud-based machine learning, big data processing, large scale computing, who have a passion for continuous improvement. You will be the subject matter expert in building and deploying AWS AI models for some of our client's most valuable and most challenging data-driven projects.
Requirements
Must Have:
· PhD or master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
· Proficiency in several programming languages, including R, Python, Spark, and others
· Three to five years related work experience in AWS cloud machine learning and cloud computing
Key Responsibilities
· Own the entire model development process for both on premises and AWS cloud projects, from identifying the business requirements, data sourcing, model fitting, presenting results, and production scoring
· Act as the go-to resource for machine learning AWS services as the entire data scientists team transition on to the AWS platform
· Drive innovation and improvement of statistical methods and procedures.
· Stay current with emerging Machine learning and cloud trends and technologies, driving innovation though their application
Basic Requirements
· PhD or master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
· Three to five years related work experience in AWS cloud machine learning and cloud computing
· Proficiency in several programming languages, including R, Python, Spark, and others

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels
· Practical and theoretical knowledge of machine learning techniques and concepts
· Progressive thinking and problem solving, with a strong ability to manage ambiguity/complexity.
· Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines
· Experience working in a consumer-centric company with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environment
· Willingness to embrace change, constructively negotiate constraints, and effectively leverage resources to create exceptional outcomes
