Description

The Biocomplexity Institute's Social and Decision Analytics Division’s Data Science for the Public Good (DSPG) program is a summer program for undergraduate and graduate students. DSPG brings together and engages students on research projects that address state, federal, and local government challenges around social issues relevant in the world today. Participants conduct research at the intersection of statistics, computation, and the social sciences to determine how information can be leveraged to inform public policy. The program equips new generations of scientists, engineers, and scholars of all disciplines with the skills they need to inform evidence-based decision-making for the public good.

These paid positions will be in person at the Biocomplexity Institute's location in the Rosslyn Neighborhood of Arlington, VA.

Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at any U.S. university. Students in all academic fields and all levels (graduate and undergraduate) are encouraged to apply!

Application deadline: March 3, 2023

Stipends: Undergraduate students- $8,000 and Graduate students- $10,000

This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year.
