Job Type Scholarship

Contract type : Fixed-term contract

Level of qualifications required : Graduate degree or equivalent

Fonction : PhD Position

This is a mathematics thesis on the analysis and the solving of high-dimensional optimal control problems arising from quantum computing. The goal is to build optimal control approaches hybridized with learning in order to solve the Lindblad equation which describes the evolution of systems of Qbits and Qdits in quantum computing.

This is a collaborative work with physicists from Strasbourg.

- State of the art on the optimal control of the Linblad equation
- Theoretical study of the control problem as a minimal time problem
- Solving the problem with classical duality control optimal approaches
- Study of PINNs methods for this type of problem
- Coupling between reinforcement approaches and PDE approaches

Main activities

- Construction and implementation of numerical methods
- Validation on physical test cases
- Paper writing and communication
